Star Bags - The Mimi Dark Green with Yellow Leather Straps and Vintage Doily

Phydeaux Designs - Filigree Buttons

Star Pom Pom - Colorful Green Flower Lariat Scarflette

I love green, but I think you already know that. It’s a colour that just attracts me. I wear it, I eat off it (placemats) and I even walk on it (rug). So finding three and only three for dark green has been a mammoth task for the person that does not like to eliminate anything that is green and pretty. Here’s what I found:

TOP: Star Bag’s – The Mimi Bag- Dark Green with Yellow Leather Straps and Vintage Doily. OK the bag is really cute, do you agree? It’s also very patriotic given that Australia’s national colours are green and gold. But what I really love are the striped knee high socks!
MIDDLE: Phydeaux Design’s – Filigree Buttons. My mother recently made me a cardigan made out of possum wool (from New Zealand). It’s incredibly warm and what we both wanted to complete the project was hand made buttons. We looked everywhere and couldn’t find anything. These would have been perfect. This store also does knitting patterns.
BOTTOM: Star Pompon – Colorful Green Flower Lariat Scarflette. I love that crochet is having a resurgence. My grandmother did such beautiful crochet and I’m sure she would smile to see her craft is still alive and well. I also love these lariats but haven’t ever tried to wear one. What about you?

  1. Green is my favorite color, so I am totally loving these.

You’re right. Cute bag, awesome socks.

Absolutely beautiful buttons. The perfect final touch.

As for the crocheted lariat scarflette thing, it’s totally funky and fun. I have not even seen anything like it, so I definitely haven’t worn one. I’ll have to look into it. I’ve been known to crochet once or twice.

Can’t wait to see the pictures to come.

  2. Green! I love green… although probably not so much in this shade as it bears too many reminders of Army days. 🙂 My husband absolutely dislikes it. Although… yesterday we went to a consignment sale for kids stuff and I got to come home with several yellow and green sleepers. I was pleasantly surprised he agreed to them. 🙂
