Colour Me Happy Wednesday :: Olive Green

This is probably not my favourite end of the green spectrum but I do like the versatility of olive green. The etsy colour search doesn’t really deal very well with this colour in either the new or the old search tool. My keyword search yielded many variations on the colour but here’s what I found:

TOP: Palace of Darning’s Olive Green Poncho. I think this would be so nice to wear in those in-between seasons. I’m a big fan of pashminas and wraps and I’m sure I could become a poncho fan. Could you?
MIDDLE: Eight Season’s Little Pod for iPod. I really love this (although this one is reserved). I like the appliqued leather it adds a lot of texture. I also go out of my way to find unusual cases for my iPhone and this definitely fits the bill.
BOTTOM: Tiny Modernist’s – Cool Cross Stitch Pattern Vintage Typewriter. I really love cross stitch and have a very large one I’ve almost finished that I started many years ago. My mother actually completes hers and they are hanging all over her house. I love this vintage typewriter which I don’t think would take as long to do. She sends you the pattern, a picture and a thread list. What a great idea. Oh and there’s also an Egg Chair pattern so I’m officially a fan.

  1. I love olive green. Probably because it feels closer to brown. It’s so warm.

The cross stitch is really cute.

The ipod case is beautiful. A very simple, yet striking, design.

And, yes, I do love that poncho. I like shawls so I think I could get used to a poncho. For one that looked that great, I’d give it a go.

  2. Hi’
I am glad I visited your blog too. It’s great. I totally agree with you that Tiny Modernist’s cross stitch are “uber” cool.
