I really love collaborations of the quirky variety. Dan Funderburgh is a Brooklyn based illustrator, artist and wallpaper designer. His work is for purchase and he also works on commissions. A recent collaboration saw his beautiful work in leather through the creation of the Team Pro Alpe D’Huez Brooks saddle. These saddles are hand crafted and have a huge fan base with a long history in the cycling world. As an avid cyclist I enjoy the merging of beautiful design with a functional twist. I have added a Brooks saddle to my wish list but I don’t think this one is designed for my kind of riding (or anatomy).

  1. It’s beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like it.

However, as someone who grew up on horses, I must admit that I was confused by your title for a few seconds. I guess there’s just one kind of saddle in my mind and it’s a lot bigger than that one.
