And this was very close the the second colour I was working with yesterday in day two of my printing of fabric class. I really didn’t mix enough of it and because I thought it was going to run out and that it was highly unlikely I would not be able to reproduce it I was extremely frugal with it. Also, since it had a a vast amount of white in it the colour dries really fast. I can’t tell you how many times I had to wash out my screen despite my best efforts – all part of learning I suppose.

Again, this is not normally a colour I would go for and I don’t know why I was so fixated on it and the ‘new bud’ colour from last week. The result is really nice and yes, I promise I will share it with you just as soon as we have something resembling a sunny day so I can take a half decent photo.

  1. I love those blues..I am a total sucker for any aqua and blue tones. The fabric screen printing sounds really fun..something I’ve always thought would be good to try one day. Look forward to seeing the results.

    1. Thanks Nicole for stopping by. I am so not a blue girl so this was really me outside my green comfort zone. I’m looking forward to showing the finished product.

  2. Hi! This shade of blue is gorgeous, I like these pictures so much! One old wooden house in my neighbourhood has aqua/turquoise blue front door with a bit cracking paint and when I walk by I always find this color and texture so pretty!

  3. You know me, there isn’t a shade of blue I don’t adore! Love, love, love how soft this is without feeling like it should be on a baby blanket.

  4. I really enjoy your color posts! And I’m curious to see your screen prints. I’m a screen printer too and I’m entirely self-taught. I think I’d like to take a class someday but I’m afraid I’ll either know everything already or (even worse) find out I’m doing it all wrong! 🙂
Anyway, I’m excited to see your prints and read about what you learned!

  5. Lovely, lovely blue. I hope the blue weather over there is even slightly like this blue here…

    1. Actually today was the most crystal clear cold winter’s day. Don’t you love those?

  6. Love this color! And I love the close up of the wood with the fence. So much personality in that photo.
