Midori Premium WordPress Theme from Crimson Pear

Wordpress theme screen shot

I want to share with you my latest theme. It’s called Midori (means green in Japanese) and it was inspired by both this gorgeous photo called ‘love to you all’ by kellijhoskins and also by a barcode. Who knew a barcode could be so inspiring?

I created the barcode stripes months ago but I really didn’t know how to incorporate them into anything even though I was so taken by the colours – what’s new right?. Then I got stuck on the old fashioned shipping label and the tactile element of the twine and pin. After much shuffling I managed to put it all together and I also need to thank my friend Marg at Destination Here & Now, who suggested a change of colour to the label (it was green) and made it much more pleasing. It’s probably wider than my other themes, so there’s a lot of breathing space, which I like.

You can view a preview of it over on the Crimson Pear demo site (sans social media icons). It’s available both on the Crimson Pear Etsy store, and the Crimson Pear website. I can’t wait to see someone using it!
