I had such a fabulous day yesterday on day one of my screen printing on fabric class. This is the second time I’ve done this class and the teacher really worked with me on some more advanced techniques. I was so surprised how many people gave all the consideration to their designs and none at all the colour they would use. This meant come printing time they literally chose ‘any old colour’!! Does. Not. Compute.
It probably doesn’t surprise you to know that I had a very definite colour in my head that I wanted to use. This is almost exactly the colour I had envisioned and not only that I managed to reproduce it. I was so impressed that my colour mixing skills have not faded too much since art school. I promise you I’ll share my final work with you soon.
My flickr finds are from top: Plafond de chapelle / Chapel Ceiling by Denis-Carl Robidoux, Simpétrum‑de‑nervuras‑vermelhas // Red-veined Darter (Sympetrum fonscolombii) by Valter Jacinto, Otranto – window by Mauro
