As of tomorrow all normal television watching will be interrupted, most conversation will involve talks of the GC (general classification), tète de la course and the antics of the peloton – are you still with me? That’s right Le Tour de France starts tomorrow and nothing will return to normal in the household until the end of July and then we will suffer Le Tour withdrawals. To be honest I do enjoy watching cycling there is a lot more to it than meets the eye. Needless to say the cyclist will be glued to it and I may get some sense out of him in August.

Chasing the Maillot Jeune…
I found your entry interesting do I’ve added a Trackback to it on my weblog :)…
It sounds like you need to arrange some girlfriend day trips. Too bad I’m half a world away; I would totally invite you out.
Love these pictures! 1 – Love the cleanliness and whimsy of this arrangement. 2 – What an awesome shop. Is this a book store? I can’t tell. No matter what they sell I would totally check it out just because it looks so cool. 3 – It’s like preschool with a strom trooper — cool! 4 – Heavenly. I want to lie down and read here. 5 – Like a sea of butter with a lone lighthouse. 6 – Ride for the yellow.
Best of luck this next while. Maybe you should get some good books.
Love it 🙂
I really like the second photo. I can barely discern the writing on the window, but I saw something to do with cheese. Is it a sandwich shop perhaps, or a bakery?
Let me know if you can make sense of the TdF. I usually watch a few hours of it, then fall into a boredom-induced coma. I tried watching it last year, but just couldn’t do it.
BTW – “Jaune” == yellow. “Jeune” == young. 😉
